Exhibition "Northern Civilization: the Khanty People"

The guests are greeted by the majestic figure of a deer, as well as a reindeer herder and a child in national Khanty clothes. The walls of the ground floor are decorated with natural reindeer skins and yagel, and on the floor a river loops with a blue ribbon, a symbol of life. On the second floor there is a sacred warehouse and seven pillars – heroes, patrons of the seven elements.Part of the exhibition "The Middle World – the human world" consisted of the areas of the traditional Khanty holiday "Bear Games" and the homes of the Khanty people. In the area of the traditional dwelling, there is a chum – a dwelling of the northern peoples, a dugout – a temporary dwelling of a hunter, a log cabin, as well as a utility shed. Part of the exhibition "The Underground, underwater world" is based on the mythology of the Khanty people.
