Stele «Good rock and roll»

Stele «Good rock and roll» – one of the most unusual in Kogalym. It was presented to the residents of the city in 2003 by Surgutgazprom. The occasion was the 25th anniversary of education Ortyagunskoye Leumi. It is interesting that the author of the project is not a professional sculptor, but the Deputy General Director for operation of the compressor station of the oil company Farit Burganov. The six-meter stele is a huge guitar, which is placed on a pedestal in the form of an Apple. The middle of the fruit is an improvised Beatles vinyl record, and a big star is visible behind the guitar. This format of the sculpture was not chosen by chance. After all, the group was popular in the 70s of the last century, just when the development of gas fields was in full swing. As the author of the project sketch noted, it was under these songs that young specialists lived and built the future. Therefore, it is believed that the stele «Good rock and roll» is a symbol of youth, continuous movement and nostalgia for the past. Therefore, it is no accident that it is located on the territory of the Metro youth center. Another feature of the sculpture is the material.
