Museum and Exhibition Center of Langepas

The Museum and Exhibition Center of the city of Langepas is a modern, dynamically developing cultural institution that works in constant dialogue with the city community and is open for cooperation. The Museum and Exhibition Center of Langepasa opened its doors on August 31, 1996 as a museum of ethnography. Its first exposition consisted of exhibits handed over by the amateur ethnographer Vasily Dmitrievich Krutskevich. These are 220 household items, tools, clothing and jewelry of the Khanty people, which he collected while traveling through the camps for many years. As of 01.01.2021, the museum items include 12700 items of storage. The Museum and Exhibition Center has eight halls for permanent and temporary exhibitions. The expositions are built on plot-figurative principles. With such a presentation of a museum object, a holistic image of the culture of the territory is formed in the mind of the visitor. On the third floor of the Museum and Exhibition Center there is an Art Gallery, the spacious halls of which allow you to place paintings, graphics, sculpture, modern art objects.
