Museum of Geology, Oil and Gas

To be in Khanty-Mansiysk means to learn a lot of interesting things about the black gold of Ugra in the Museum of Geology, Oil and Gas. You will not find an open institution of this kind anywhere else in Russia. A unique collection of minerals, the history of the oil and gas industry, the history of geological exploration, an extensive raw material fund, paleontological finds on the territory of the district, the equipment used in their work by geologists and oil workers – only a small part of what you can learn and see in the museum. The museum's collection includes 36,000 exhibits.
