Square "Taiga

In 2017, for the anniversary of the city of Pokachi, the Taiga Square was opened, which was built under an agreement between the regional Government and the LUKOIL oil company. The opening of the park was attended by the Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova and the president of the LUKOIL oil company Vagit Alekperov. The square covers an area of more than 40 thousand square meters. The square is a favorite place for walking pokachevtsev and guests of the city, a beautiful place for memorable photos. In the summer, a lot of events take place weekly in the square. The idea of the square was born from activists of the Council of Working Youth, who proposed a project of a walking area for people of different ages. Residents discussed the idea on social networks and began to implement their plans. The population of Pokachi took a labor part in the implementation of the project - people laid peat and planted trees. In 2018, Pokachi Square was decorated with a landscape ensemble of park LED lights. They resemble blooming white cherry trees. Now evening and night lighting will become even brighter. The park lanterns are made by a Russian manufacturer from a frost-resistant LED garland, there are more than 10 thousand LEDs on each five-meter tree. The figures are mounted on a galvanized metal base, and the trunk and branches are made of aluminum. At the foot, spacious benches were placed around the perimeter, so there is enough space for everyone under the luminous crown. Residents of the city have already appreciated the northern cherry trees, they say: they create a romantic atmosphere and a festive mood. At the entrance to the square, the letters POKACHI are installed, equipped with LED lighting.
