Quest "Journey to the Forest People"

The game transports players to the past, introducing them to the customs of the forest dwellers as described in the works of Porfiry Pavlovich Infantyev. The action takes place on an authentic 19th-century geographical map, featuring cities and settlements that existed at the time, such as Yekaterinburg, Pelym, Shaim, Tursunt, Ushya, Uchinye, Nakhrachi, Tyumen, and others. Two groups "travel" by moving across the board from one station to another. Teams take turns answering questions found on illustrated cards and completing tasks. The game pieces are crafted in the shape of explorers. By correctly answering a question, a team moves its piece and receives food supplies from the "forest people"—fish, berries, pine cones, or the pelt of a valuable fur-bearing animal. Upon reaching the final station, the team with the most supplies wins. The gameplay does not require participants to have prior knowledge of the history and culture of the region's indigenous people. Throughout the game, participants acquire new knowledge. The game fosters respect for the culture of the Mansi and Khanty peoples, sparks interest in the historical heritage of our region, and enhances the intellectual development of the participants.
