Monument To V. A. Petukhov

The bust of Vladimir Arkadyevich Petukhov is located in the very center of Nefteyugansk on Komsomolsky Boulevard. This place for installation was not chosen by chance – it was here, near the city administration building, that the first popularly elected mayor of the city was killed. On June 26, 1998, the mercenary fired 18 bullets at him. 16 years later, in memory of the beloved mayor, this bust was installed on the initiative and with funds collected by citizens. The author of the bronze sculpture on a granite pedestal was honored artist of Russia Volodya arsenovich Sargsyan. So, on June 26, 2014, on the opening day of the monument, delegations from different regions of the district and even the country gathered in Nefteyugansk. Hundreds of residents gathered to pay tribute to the respected Manager. Many of them were personally acquainted with the head of the city. And everyone noted that he always actively tried to help everyone and change the lives of nefteyugans for the better. From generation to generation, citizens pass on the story of a simple but principled man who took care of the city. «Honorary citizen of the city of Nefteyugansk» - this title was awarded to Vladimir Alexandrovich Petukhov posthumously.
