For example, an impressive collection of icons, a loom owned by 3 generations of women, a wooden bed made without nails, a ship's barometer of the 17th century, a manual coffee grinder brought by evacuees from besieged Leningrad. It was used to grind fish bones into flour. Today, the Museum even stores books on the history of Siberia, geography, Ethnography, archeology, and art. The collection is constantly updated. And Nina Stepanovna Tsekhnova began to put all this together-first on a party assignment to collect material about the establishment of Soviet power in the region, then on her own initiative. The institution received its name in 2011. Initially, the Museum was created on the basis of the room of labor and military glory of the library of the CPSU. In 1988, it received the status of a national Museum, and in 1989, it became part of the RSFSR Museum network. And in 2012, it acquired the status of a district.
