Memorial stone to the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II

Few people know that on July 8, 1981, the future Emperor Nicholas II visited the village of Bely Yar. He traveled through Siberia and made a short stop at the pier of the settlement. According to historical data, being a tsarevich at that time, he listened to the requests of Surgut residents throughout the day. In May 2011, a poklonny cross in honor of the emperor was installed at the iconic place. The cross was consecrated by Archbishop Dmitry of Tobolsk and Tyumen. In the summer of the same year, the first stone of the future church was laid here. This year marks the 120th anniversary of the stay of the heir to the Russian throne on this pier. A year later, the construction of a church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the stay of Tsarevich Nicholas began nearby on the voluntary donations of parishioners. It is made in the classical style of Russian cathedrals of the XIX century.
