Ethnocenter "Silava"

"The ethnographic complex "Silava" is organized by members of the Community of indigenous peoples "Ely Khotal", which means "The Future"in Mansi. The territory of the ethnocenter is located on the picturesque shore of the beautiful Konda, 14 kilometers from the city of Urai on the site of the former Mansi village of Novaya Silava. Ethnotourism today is a visit to the "Vogul farmstead", which has preserved the features of traditional culture and everyday life with the holding of Mansi rituals and holidays, cooking Mansi cuisine. A small museum of household items has been assembled on the territory of the Vogul farmstead, fishing camps are being equipped, a bread oven and a mat weaving machine are functioning. Each visitor can see the object with his own eyes, learn about its purpose in traditional use and try to make or make something himself, for example: grind flour on millstones and bake bread. In the Sacred Glade, you can participate in the rite of worship of the Mistress of the Konda, tie ribbons on the Sacred Larch to fulfill your cherished desires.
