Monument to those who died in local wars and military conflicts

The monument was opened on February 15, 2014, on the 25th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan (by the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of troops on February 15, 2019, the monument was reconstructed and received a completely different appearance). The monument is a sculpture of a warrior with a height of two and a half meters. Made by order of Nyagan city public organization "Union of Veterans of Afghanistan". The sculpture is installed next to the memorial stone and is an integral part, a logical continuation of the memorial "Eternal Glory to the Heroes of the Fatherland". A sculpture was made from a picture of a real person – one of the internationalist soldiers. Behind the sculpture of a soldier there is a small composition - a combat cartridge with a black tulip. This flower for Afghans symbolizes the aircraft on board of which the dead were taken out. There is a memorial wall nearby, on which the names of those killed in the Afghan and Chechen wars are immortalized. Samples of military equipment are also on display here.
