Theater of the Ob-Ugric peoples «The Sun»

A young and popular theater in Ugra, as well as the only theater in Russia, in the repertoire of which there are performances based on the folklore of the Ob Ugrians and the works of modern authors – carriers of national culture, and the actors are from among the indigenous small population of the region. The main goal of this theater since 2002 is to preserve the cultural heritage of the peoples of Ugra, as well as to introduce it to the audience. And fifty performances staged on the stage of the Sun Theater prove that everything works out. In order for the performances to be as truthful as possible, not only directors and actors, but also a national choreographer, ethnographers, historians have been working on them since the first days. But I fell in love with the «Sun» not only for its national flavor. The uniqueness of the productions, due to the intimacy of the action, when everything happens around the viewer, and you can completely plunge into the unique atmosphere – that's what attracts hundreds of people here. The band is actively touring the cities of Ugra and has already traveled half the world. For example, they became participants of the XIX International Festival of Puppet Theaters in Dordrecht, the festival of Russian culture for children in New York and many other significant events. And the theater of the Ob-Ugric peoples is also a laureate and diploma winner of numerous festivals and competitions.
