Ust-Balyk Cultural and Exhibition Center
The Ust-Balyk Cultural and Exhibition Center was opened on February 10, 2010 in the historical part of the city of Nefteyugansk - on the high bank of the Yuganskaya Ob. Previously, the first street of the city was located here – im Street. Yuri Gagarin. Currently, this place has a walking area with a picturesque view of the river.
Wooden buildings – three houses in the style of the 60s, built along the walking area, embody the historical past of the city. The museum expositions of the Ust-Balyk Exhibition Center are located in them. Museum exhibitions "Residential building. The interior of the 1960s" and "The city born of oil". Unique exhibits telling about the modern history of the region, the industrial development of the Nefteyugansk region, the history of the formation of the city and enterprises are presented.
For a long time, one of the buildings housed the Society of Old-timers of the city of Nefteyugansk, now temporary thematic exhibitions. Old-timers continue to work closely with the Museum Complex: they participate in joint events and exhibitions, help in the acquisition of museum funds.
