The Museum of the city of Uray

The Uray history Museum has been in existence since 1981. In 2019, it moved to a new building of the Cultural and historical center. The Museum has a fairly bright archaeological exposition, which includes a wide range of animal and plant life of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, traditional culture and life of the Khanty and Mansi peoples, culture and life of Russian settlers in Western Siberia, the history of the city of Uray and the development of West Siberian oil. The Museum has created exhibition areas with the possibility of tactile perception, introduced interactive technologies and advanced technical equipment comparable to the leading museums in Russia. The use of multimedia technologies has transformed the Museum of the history of the city of Uray from the usual Museum of local lore into an educational center and a place where it is interesting to spend your leisure time for various categories of visitors.
