Exhibition "From classics to avant-garde"

The Port Cultural Center invites you to the exhibition "From Classics to the avant-garde", dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the L.A. Gorda Children's Art School No. 1. 

The exhibition features works by two of the school's leading teachers: Olga Shcherbakova and Rukiyat Jaliyeva.

The audience will see how academic drawing and bold experiments with form come together in one exhibition. "We don't just teach children how to hold a brush, we ourselves are looking for new languages every day. This exhibition is our open lesson for the city," the authors comment.

The exhibition contains paintings and graphic sheets that demonstrate a wide range of moods and techniques. Every job is an attempt to look beyond the horizon of the familiar. 

The exhibition will be a gift to the city for the anniversary of the school, which has been educating Surgut artists for 55 years.
