The exhibition "City With"

The exhibition is dedicated to the three-hundred-year period of the city's history: from Surgut in the late 16th century to Surgut in the pre-revolutionary early 20th century. This significant time period has a small number of disparate sources. However, the information gathered bit by bit and the use of modern technologies allowed us to show the image of Surgut in a new way.

The exhibition features more than 1,000 items from the archaeological collection of the Surgut Museum of Local Lore, porcelain and costume collections, historical and household collections, and rare books. The objects and collections are complemented by models of urban structures and river vessels plying wild, unexplored northern rivers. These certificates will allow visitors to plunge into the past of Surgut, to penetrate into the remote corners of information about the city and its inhabitants. This is also facilitated by the unconventional exposition solution, which emphasizes the leading positions of the exhibits.
