Surgut

The exhibition "Surgut during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945"

29 October 2026 - 29 March 2027

Victory in the Great Patriotic War was forged not only by unparalleled heroism on the fronts and in partisan detachments, but also by selfless, unprecedented work in the deep Soviet rear. Surgut, like the rest of the country, provided logistical support to the active army throughout the war years. The people of Surgut understood that the supply of food to the Red Army soldiers and industrial workers depended on their strike work.

The exhibition "Surgut during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" is designed to preserve the memory of Surgut home front workers: women, old people, teenagers and children who made an invaluable contribution to the common cause of Victory. Their selfless work is a great example for their contemporaries. There are agricultural implements and equipment, items for fishing and wood processing, photographs, tickets for money and clothing lotteries and more.
