Church in honor of St. Nicholas

In the urban-type settlement of Izluchinsk on the Bank of the Vakha, a Church was built in honor of St. Nicholas. The history of the local community began in 1992, organized by the rector of the Nizhnevartovsk Church of the Nativity of Christ, Archpriest George Beznutrov. In 2003, with the blessing Of Archbishop Dimitry of Tobolsk and Tyumen, the first stone of the new Church was consecrated and laid in honor of St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra, the Wonderworker, especially revered by the Orthodox. Nicholas the Wonderworker is so beloved that his memory is honored every week on Thursdays. In 1994, donations from parishioners were used to purchase the bells, which were consecrated and installed on the belfry. Previously, services were held in the premises of the former savings Bank. May 22, 2006, the day of St. Nicholas of Myra (or Nicholas), Archbishop of Tobolsk and Tyumen Dimitri blessing of the celebration of the Liturgy in the new Temple under construction. In October 2011, Metropolitan Pavel of Khanty-Mansi and Surgut held the rite of great consecration. On the occasion of the celebration, the Khanty-Mansi and Surgut Diocese prepared a gift – a particle of the life-giving cross of the Lord and an icon of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco with a particle were brought. This allowed local residents to touch the shrines. On February 8, 2012, the long-awaited icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker arrived at the Church. It was purchased with donations from parishioners. The first rector of the Church in 2005 was appointed priest Oleg nelin. A year later, this post was taken by priest Maxim Durnev. And on October 24, 2011, priest Georgy Bolotov was appointed rector of the Church in honor of St. Nicholas. In this place of Izluchinsk very quiet and peaceful on weekdays, in the Lenten prayer service, solemnly and joyfully during the holidays.
