Monument to Peter Yershov and heroes of fairy tales

Not far from the Central library named after Peter Yershov, IN the 2A microdistrict of Nefteyugansk, you can find a whole fairy-tale world. On October 15, 2009, a monument to the writer and the heroes of his fairy tales was erected on a small square. The architectural and sculptural composition consists of a bust of the writer and four figures cast in cast iron. Here you will see what the hunchback Horse, the Tsar, the Firebird, Ivan and Mary looked like. This unusual monument was created not only to enrich the aesthetic appearance of the city square, but also to introduce the city's population to the work of the Russian writer. That is why fairy-tale characters are deliberately made small in size. Thanks to this solution, children can freely study sculptures and even interact with them – for example, ride a humpback Horse and hold it by the ears. Interestingly, all the figures were made by different authors. Ivan da Marya and the Tsar were made by the sculptor Svetlana Ryabova from Yekaterinburg. But the sculptures of animals from a fairy tale-a humpback Horse and a Firebird-by Konstantin Gilev. The author and manufacturer of the almost three-meter figure of the writer himself was a local sculptor Igor Razuvaev. Fairy-tale characters are made in the city of Kasli, Chelyabinsk region by cast iron casting. But the bust of Pyotr Yershov is made of sheet bronze and mounted on a granite pedestal. Openwork benches are provided on the square to complete the sculptural and architectural ensemble and provide a comfortable rest for citizens.
