Nefteyugansk
Rotunda
On October 15, 2010, the Grand opening of the Rotunda took place at the famous «pyatachka» in the city – the place where the first pioneers landed in 1961. The sculpture is located on the territory of the historical and architectural complex in the 2A microdistrict of the city.
The Rotunda itself was made and installed here in 2007. The place quickly became a kind of compositional point on the city's embankment and one of the favorite centers of attraction for nefteyugans of all generations. The author of the structure is a local sculptor Igor Razuvaev.
The sculptural composition consists of a granite pedestal 0.7 meters high, surrounded by columns and topped with a dome. The total height of the sculpture is 2.18 meters.
In the inner part of the Rotunda you will see a cast-iron bas-relief, which was placed here two years after the creation of the main structure. The bas-relief is depicted as a "wind rose", which bears the name of the city and its geographical coordinates: N 61° 5 '1.248" E 72° 36 '17.1
Logically ends the composition with the inscription «City born of oil». The architectural complex has become one of the symbols of Nefteyugansk, where all tourists make a memorable photo.
