Patriotic Heritage Center

The Patriotic Heritage Center opened on June 22, 2007. The main task of this structural unit of the unit is to identify, study, preserve and present artifacts of the patriotic heritage. At the exhibitions presented in the exhibition halls of the Center, visitors can see priceless relics of the Great Patriotic War: letters, diaries, photographs, awards, ration cards, order books, personal belongings of participants of the war and the labor front. Currently, the Center presents the exhibition "Front-line friends", which tells about the participation of women in the Great Patriotic War. Portraits of heroines, stories of their exploits, field everyday life are revealed through unique items from the funds of the Surgut Museum of Local Lore, transferred by the Front-line Girlfriends club. Over the years of the Center's work, this place has acquired special significance for veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer of these people, but our memory lives on and care for them does not stop. The real friends of the museum are public organizations that unite participants of military operations in hot spots of Russia, participants of local military conflicts of the 1970s and 2000s, veterans of the border service, fighters of search teams. Schoolchildren, young people, representatives of the city community come to the Center of Patriotic Heritage to meet and communicate with these people.
