«Surgut Museum of art»

Today, the Surgut art Museum is not only a Treasury where recognized and time-tested works of art are concentrated, but also an exhibition complex equipped with modern specialized equipment, as well as a leisure and educational center. Currently, the Museum's collection includes collections of Russian fine art of the late XIX-early XX centuries, modern art of Siberia, national art of the peoples of the North, archaeological collections of the III-XV centuries, a collection of ironic art (graphics, photography and sculpture). Perhaps the Museum collection is not as representative as in the museums of Moscow and St. Petersburg, but, nevertheless, Surgut has something to be proud of. Over the years of its existence, the Museum has implemented a significant number of bright art projects, thanks to which it has become known not only in the city, district and in Russia, but also abroad. Among the most successful projects of the Museum is the exhibition: «Odin's flint? The history of a single item», «who Saw the face of tarn», «open storage. Sredneye in bronze and metal. IX-XIV centuries», international forum of visual humor CARICATURUM, photo project «Inhabitants», exhibition project of the author's doll «KUKLYANDIYA», Archeoart project «Return to YAKH» and many, many others.
