Historical and Cultural Heritage Center «Kasum ex»
If you want to learn more about the life of the indigenous peoples of the North, go to the Historical and Cultural Heritage Center «Kasum Ex». This museum has been operating in the village of Kazym in the Beloyarsk district for almost 30 years and presents several open-air expositions to visitors.
The first thing worth seeing is yunnty khar – a playground where there are also several types of dwellings of the Ob Ugrians – pyramid–shaped ground, both summer and winter, deepened into the ground.
Winter fur and summer plagues can be found at the site of the «Camp of reindeer herders-nomads». Here you can also see a deer pen, their house, as well as sleds of various types (male and female).
At the «Camp of a fisherman-hunter leading a semi-sedentary lifestyle» you will find more substantial dwellings: a winter hut and three warehouses in which the Ob Ugrians stored food supplies. You will see a hearth, a bread oven «nyan kor», a shed for storing and drying vegetables.
After that, it is interesting to walk along the trail of a hunter and a fisherman. The exposition includes objects with which indigenous peoples engaged in crafts. Here you can see both modern and antique accessories: traps for game, fur-bearing animals, fish and much more. In addition, a temporary shelter for a fisherman and means of transportation are presented. In short, there are really a lot of interesting things in this ethnographic museum-park.
