monument "Stars of Nizhnevartovsk sport"

The monument was opened on March 10, 2002 as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the city. The monument is located in the Sports Glory Square, not far from the Central Stadium. It is made in the form of a large golden ball, the names of people who have become the pride of Russian sports are immortalized. The stars with the names of famous athletes, honored coaches and people who have contributed to the development of Nizhnevartovsk sport are arranged in three rows. Architect – O.V. Kovalchuk
