Memorial to "Fellow countrymen who died during the Great Patriotic War of 1940 - 1945"

The memorial was opened on July 15, 1978. The central element of the complex is a bronze figure of a soldier calling for battle. At its foot is the Eternal Flame. On the edges of the sculpture are granite slabs, on which 535 names of fallen soldiers who went to the front from the Laryaksky (now Nizhnevartovsk) district are immortalized. The obelisks complement the complex with the years of the beginning and end of the Great Patriotic War. The decision to build the monument was made on May 7, 1975. The project was developed in the art production workshops of the Novosibirsk branch of the Art Fund of the RSFSR. Initially, the figure of the soldier was located on a concrete base, at its foot there were slabs covered with gray paint, they had about 300 names of the dead soldiers. The monument was opened on July 15, 1978. In 1984-1985, the monument was reconstructed. Sloping slabs with metal structures resembling "katyusha" appeared, names were carved on these slabs. At the same time, obelisks with the years "1941" and "1945" were installed. The reconstructed complex was opened on May 9, 1985. In 1990, the Eternal Flame was lit. In 2004-2005, new granite slabs with clarified and supplemented surnames of Siberian soldiers were installed. In 2013, instead of a concrete figure of a soldier, a bronze figure was installed.
