Aviation Alley of Honor

One of the main decorations of the city is the Alley of Honor of Aviation on the way to the international airport of Nizhnevartovsk named after V. I. Muravlenko. The opening of the alley, where helicopters, AN-2 aircraft and models of modern aircraft are installed, took place on July 20, 2000 and was timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the airline. In the first part of the alley, helicopters of the MI-1, MI-2, MI-4, MI-6, MI-8 series and AN-2 aircraft are installed on pedestals. On the stone obelisk there is an inscription: "Alley of Honor of Aviation". In addition, there is an information stand installed here, on which it is written in the upper part: "Nizhnevartovskavia OJSC — 45 years old", in the lower part - "1965 The history of yesterday, today, tomorrow 2010", the stand introduces residents and guests of the city to the history of aviation in Nizhnevartovsk, since 1963. In the second part of the alley — series "IL" and "TU", they were installed in honor of the 40th anniversary of the airline in 2005. By the 65th anniversary of the Victory on May 9, 2010, a new monument appeared on the Alley of Honor of Aviation. In a row with airplanes and helicopters stands a monument to the heroic pilots who went through the war until Victory. Five marble slabs with the names and portraits of pilots Frolovsky Semyon Alekseevich, Gasheva Rufina Sergeevna, Kamozin Pavel Mikhailovich, Chechneva Marina Pavlovna, Mikhailov Pavel Mikhailovich are installed in front of the layout of the YAK-13 aircraft.
