Nizhnevartovsk

Monument to the poet, hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil

One of the first streets in Nizhnevartovsk was named after the poet-hero by oilmen and builders who came to the future city, and in the year of the 35th anniversary of the city, on September 25, 2007, they immortalized the memory of Musa Zalilov-Jalil with a bust. The initiator of the erection of the bronze bust of the poet was the public organization Center "Miras", and the author of the monument is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia Mahmud Gasimov. The monument in Nizhnevartovsk is not only a tribute to the poet, but also a symbol of such human values as great talent, love and loyalty to the Motherland. The words of Musa's oath are carved on the marble slabs of the monument in Tatar and Russian: "And before I die, I will not break my oath to please anyone. I dedicated my song to the people, I give my life to the people."
