Memorial to the Pioneers of Shaim
The Walk of Fame is an important landmark for the city of Urai. Here are the heroes of the oil workers who stood at the origins of the development of our territory. Bust of Semyon Nikitich Urusov, the legendary drilling foreman of the brigade that discovered the first West Siberian oil. In the center of the alley there is a pyramid, inside of which there is a flask with oil. At the foot of the pyramid, the names of honorary citizens of the city of Urai are engraved on granite slabs.
The memorial was opened in September 2009 in honor of the celebration of the Day of Workers of the Oil and Gas industry. The memorial displays busts of heroes of socialist labor: Isyangulov Avzalitdin Gizyatullovich (1928 - 2004). Since April 1964, he was appointed director of the Shaimsky office of exploration drilling No. 3 of the trust "Tyumenneftegazrazvedka". Petrov Grigory Kuzmich (born in 1931). In 1964, Petrov's team drilled the first production well No. 500 in the Tyumen region. "Petrovtsy" almost annually set records for high-speed drilling of wells, constantly fulfilled and exceeded state plans.
