Sculpture "Man under an umbrella"
This unusual and very symbolic composition, installed in 2008, is located deep in a cozy alley between residential buildings No. 43 and 44 of the 2 microdistrict. The author of the sculpture is a talented employee of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Vodokanal" Evgeny Katkov. Made of rebar and cement, it weighs about a ton. The composition depicts a good-natured old man in a hat and raincoat, who slowly walks through the rain with his hand behind his back.Despite its massiveness, the "Man under the Umbrella" radiates lightness and security, symbolizing the care and support that are so important to every resident of our city. The composition has become a real decoration of the alley and a favorite place for photos among the citizens and guests of the Urals. Like many small urban forms, the sculpture is overgrown with signs. It is believed that if you hold your grandfather's hand or just stand under his umbrella during the rain, all the hardships of life will pass by.
