Monument «To builders and employees of the Ivdel – Ob railway»

This monument welcomes all visitors to Yugorsk. It is dedicated to the builders and employees of the Ivdel – Ob railway and is a restored L-3291 steam locomotive. Cars of this series worked here in the 50s and 60s of the last century. The monument itself stands on a small pedestal in the form of rails. You can view the old steam locomotive from all sides, because the area around it is paved with paving slabs. An unusual memorial was presented to Yugorsk in 2005. The Grand opening took place on the eve of the city day. But the construction is timed to two more significant dates: 45 years since the construction of the Ivdel – Ob road and 35 years since its commissioning. These are really important dates, because the highway was of key importance for the development of oil and gas fields, as well as logging.
