Sculptures «Bear» and «Capercaillie»

Sculptures of a bear and a capercaillie are nothing more than the coat of arms of Yugorsk embodied in bronze and lined with copper. You can see them in front of the city administration building. Here the first «settled» by a bear. Everyone knows that this is the most revered animal among the Northern peoples. The image of a bear symbolizes courage and strength, but at the same time good nature and nobility. Such qualities, according to the idea of the mastermind of the installation of the sculpture, were the people who developed our region. 2 years later, in 2012, the composition was supplemented with a sculpture of a capercaillie. This bird in the folklore of indigenous peoples is a symbol of freedom, reason, nepotism and respectful relationships. It is believed that if you RUB the figure of a capercaillie and think about a cherished desire, it will definitely come true. The author of both city attractions is an artist from Chelyabinsk Anatoly Labach. And the idea of creating the first symbolic figure belongs to the former mayor of the city Rais Salakhov. Recall that he headed the municipality for 18 years.
