«Oilmen's» Square
The square of Oil workers or the park of the CCI «Uraineftegaz» was opened to visitors in 2003. Here citizens come to relax and unwind, contemplating the multicolored plants. Even if it is a short time in the year, taking into account climatic conditions.
On an area of more than 2000 square meters, more than 15 species of shrubs were preserved and additionally planted. All of them were ordered and brought from other regions.
In total, 800 different bushes were added to the local landscape, which the designers successfully preserved: barberry, juniper, blue rose, lilac, thuja, lapchatka shrub, dogwood and others. Despite the fact that our climate is unusual for such plants, plantings have taken root to the delight of visitors to the square.
Among other things, the decoration of the square was supplemented with thirteen flower beds. During the season, up to 20 varieties of flowers are planted in them. Between the flower beds, trees and shrubs in the landscape inscribed stones. by the way, they are of a special kind here – from serpentinite, which means serpent in latin. This is a rock with a characteristic dark green color and a snake pattern.
There are also two small pools in the park, which perfectly fit into the landscape along with shrubs and alpine slides with abundant flowering plants. All this diversity has a positive effect on the emotional state of people. That is why the residents of Uray come to the square for inspiration at a convenient time in the summer.
