Monument to the "Soldier-Liberator"

In the 70s of the XX century, on the initiative of the former director of the Nyagan Forestry Enterprise Viktor Alekseevich Sysoev, a monument dedicated to the thirtieth anniversary of the Great Victory was commissioned to the Moscow Art Fund. It was supposed to be installed in the 75th year, but due to the change of the head of the forestry enterprise, the arrival of the monument in our city was delayed. The acquaintance of the Nyagans with the new attraction took place only 3 years later (September 1, 1978). The soldier-liberator took pride of place on Pionerskaya Street. Soon the street was renamed and began to bear the proud name - "30 years of Victory". The inscription on the monument reads "Your feat is not forgotten." This monument has become something more than just a tourist attraction for Nyagans. Every year on Victory Day, citizens, veterans, participants of local wars, young people, schoolchildren come here to honor the memory of war heroes. It has become a good tradition for newlyweds to visit the monument.
