Monument to the labor feat of generations of oil workers of Surgutneftegaz

This sculptural composition is a tribute to all those who were involved in the development of Surgut as the oil and gas capital of the district. Therefore, it has a symbolic form. Five arches represent the fountain of black gold, which scored near the rig thanks to the hard and hard work of the pioneers. And just below, on the base of the tower-collective images of representatives of various professions. Geologists, surveyors, engineers, builders, cooks, drivers, oil and gas operators, welders, electricians, drillers – all those who participated in the development of the first deposits are represented in 11 bronze figures. It took three years to create and implement such a grandiose composition of metal and granite. The project was created on the initiative of Surgutneftegaz. The author of the sketch was the team of the non-profit Foundation of sculptors of Russia "Unity" under the leadership of Andrey Tyulenev. The Grand opening took place on September 4, 2016 on Neftyanikov square. Since then, a truly perfect fountain of oil has been flowing here, which will never run out and will always remind us of the great work our ancestors did before the harsh region turned into a comfortable territory for living.
