Oilmen Square

Neftyanikov Square is the central square of Nizhnevartovsk, where the main city holidays and events, folk festivals take place. In summer, the square is decorated with flower arrangements, a summer stage; in winter there is a Christmas tree and an ice town. An outdoor ice rink is set up on the square for the New Year. Neftyanikov Square is always crowded — citizens and tourists, adults and youth walk here, dates and meetings are arranged here, creative teams perform, bright events of the Samotlor Nights festival of arts, labor and sports, fairs, concerts, contests and sporting events take place. On the square there are several city sculptures and an interesting art object "Literary Bench". An unusual bench appeared on the square in 2016. You should definitely sit down and listen to the fairy tales of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. Next to the bench is a sculpture "Dog". The Vartovians called the dog Bim. A monument to a stray dog was erected in 2012. The Nizhnevartovsk dog is a symbol of kindness to animals, it reminds citizens that each of us can show kindness and help. A little further on the square in 2010, another monument was erected — to a girl with a skate. The bronze sculpture was made in the Chelyabinsk region. It depicts a teenage girl who sat down on a bench to rest after skating on a roller board.
